Rayne Team Rider Mike Slota is not a big guy, but he skates like one and brings massive amounts of stoke with him wherever he goes. Now in his second year on Team Rayne, Slota represents his coastal British Columbia roots for Rayne, Switchback Longboards and UNKLE.ca like a boss. An all around skater, you can find Mike ripping standies on soft wheels, flatspotting hard wheels and tucking it out on some of the steepest hills BC has to offer. Always a contender, Mike's been thrashing for the podium at Danger Bay, Britannia and Vernon DH already this season always missing by the narrowest of margins. Now a few races in, Mike has taken his rightful place on the podium with a 2nd place finish in Juniors at the 2011 Skylands DH in Kelowna, British Columbia. He's not done yet, watch for Slota to show well at the upcoming Whistler Longboard Festival and the Maryhill Festival of Speed coming up soon.
Curious what Mike was riding? Looks like a Killswitch, but it's really the new Small killswitch - the Baby Killer - in prototype form with the regular Killswitch gaphic before the 2011 updates to keep it sneaky. If you like small boards or have smaller feet check out the all new Small Killswitch!
