All the familiar faces were at Kelowna this weekend and the event went off without a hitch! Especially when you consider last year’s freeride day was a bit bumpy due to resident shenanigans. After a long endeavor and some speeding up and down a closed road the resident was removed from the course and subsequently his home.
With around ten runs the first day and a shocking three warm ups on race day everyone was used to the new conditions on the course. Things seemed to be a bit on the drifty/ rougher side as in the last year the road has been used to develop a bunch of new housing.
Racing was exciting with few upsets or delays. Rayne was out in full force. Justin Readings, Tommy Watson, Ian Russle, Will Smallwood, and Jeremy Banting were all tearing into the new Rayne Sinful Pleasure Wheels and loving them. Hit them up at races if you want to check them out and ask any questions you have about them below!
It was a big weekend for Rayne podium results all over the place! They were as follows:
Mens - Patrick Switzer 1st, Matt Rae 2nd
Juniors - Will Smallwood 3rd
Shout out to Grizz for getting 3rd and on fathers day none the less!
