It was an exciting day at the Gold Rush Challenge longboard race in Britannia Beach, British Columbia, Canada. The event is tucked away in the Sea to Sky corridor just a short 45 minute drive from Vancouver. Tall mountains that drop to sea level create the perfect condition for an aggressive expert level longboard race.
Professional longboard racers came from around the world to race this challenging course. The weather held out for most of the day with the last of the heats having to face wet conditions. Team Rayne prevailed and dominated the podium:
Men’s Downhill: Kevin Reimer – 1st
Women’s Downhill: Brianne Davies – 1st
Junior Downill: Spencer Smith – 1st
