The 2011 IGSA Maryhill Festival of Speed was one of the most exiting and controversial races in recent Downhill history. With the rise in popularity of the sport, larger prize purses, and increased competition coming from around the world it seems heats are more and more of a dog fight sometimes. While the Open had its share of questionable race behaviour, protests, and disqualifications, the Women's event was much more civilized, clean racing.
Already taking the podium in her first race of the season at Danger Bay, Rayne team rider Dominique Vukorep takes the podium once again in her second race, placing 3rd in the Women's class at Maryhill. Dom is currently 3rd in the IGSA World Rankings.
We also want to take a sec to recognize Rayne team rider Graham Buksa for his 4th place finish in the Open.

Buksa was involved in one of the controversies / protests after being taken out in the Semi-finals by another rider. The other rider was eventually disqualified and Buksa was awarded his position in the Finals where he finished 4th. Congrats Graham!!!
