Over the last year and a bit Flatspot Longboard Shop has been an asset to the Chinatown community and the Freemasons building. Not only did the shop move in but a bunch of skaters with it. The ThunderBird News recently did an article on the move and the area that's worth checking out! Read the rest of it here: http://thethunderbird.ca/2013/11/20/skateboarders-carve-out-new-community-in-chinatown/

The skaters’ arrival in Chinatown is the unexpected and slow-developing result of another initiative that started five years ago. In 2009, the City of Vancouver set up the Chinatown “active storefront program” in an effort to give the shops a much-needed facelift.
